Yes, I changed the spirit-summoning chant for the sake of the gag at the end. If anyone’s curious, it was more like “I eagerly await thee. Show thyself!”
Other trivia: the name of the magazine is “Hola”, as in “Hello” in Spanish. In the novel, the editor explained that since there are so many magazines with Italian names, she was being avant-garde and using Spanish. I’m not sure it works as a name for a Gothic and Lolita magazine, though. (Choco didn’t think much of the name, either. She thought it was kind of butch, since it sounds like the masculine pronoun “ora”.)
Another piece of trivia: the editor’s name is Gilles de Rei, like the infamous occultist and child killer from the time of Joan of Arc. This name didn’t appear in the anime and was actually disguised as a name of Japanese origin in the novels.
